Before I started reiki, I paid little to no attention to my body - what it was saying to me, that is. I'm not sure if it was more that I didn't hear it, or that I didn't notice it. Now, I hear it all the time - and notice everything that is out of the ordinary. I can feel when random muscles twitch. I can feel when there is tightness in my jaw. I can feel when my belly is clenched with anxiety or fear. Everything ..
The problem with this is that I like to know what things mean. In other words, it means that I spend a lot of time wondering what on earth my body is trying to tell me. I'm sure that some of it is normal. But I know that some of it is an early warning signal (stress or anxiety or ..). I just don't know how to tell the difference. Hopefully I will get better at this as time goes on.
Does your body talk to you? Can you usually tell what it's saying?
As an aside, before I realized how in tune I was, I was talking to my sister (who is skeptical about reiki). She told me that she had figured reiki out - that it just helps people get in tune with their bodies. "But I'm not!" I said. Then I proceeded to tell her about the little twitch in my left cheek that was puzzling me.
[By the way, I am on vacation as of tomorrow - so there will be no new posts until the 18th.]

I'm very in tune to my body, which isn't always a good thing. ;) It talks to me all the time and most of the time I know why and what it is saying. Usually it is stress. Sometimes it is just gas! lol :P
