one day this past spring, i decided to make a vision board. i didn't have a plan for it, i just pulled images and words that appealed to me out of some old catalogs and magazines and stuck them on a bulletin board. when i was done, i realized there were two over-arching themes: color (via the images) and authenticity (via the words).
the vision board has been sitting by my desk ever since. i haven't really paid much attention to it, or put extra focus on the themes, yet i realized the other day that i have come a long way in both areas: color (in my home) and authenticity (in my life).
my home now feels more like me than anywhere i have lived thus far. this is partly because i am learning to know and love myself again, and it is partly because i have never really put my attention on anything beyond the living room. i wandered around with my camera one day to document it all. i may share the images as i am inspired .. because i love to see others' homes and i love to share mine. to me, it is full of love and joy and happiness (and dog hair, but you already knew that).
It looks like a beautiful home, such pretty images. And the dog hair only adds to the love, joy and happiness! Well, the dog does at least, maybe not the hair! It's the same here!

Elizabeth, this is a great idea. Often my home gets neglected and is quite bare because often when I have some money to spend it goes on camera equipment. I am looking for some nice art for my childrens rooms.
