Fave thing...hmmmm....the colors. I love the colored leaves and the yellows and browns.

There are so many things I love about Fall, but I've been reminded of one specific thing today: fresh apples. I don't eat apples during the rest of the year, as they're just not the same and I like them so much better in season. So this is the time of the year when I can enjoy fresh apples, and I'm making the most out of it!

my favorite thing about fall is how i find myself being surprised by all the beauty. it's like i dread the change to the dark of winter and end up forgetting that i still have the fall to enjoy. i see the slant of the light, the breathtaking colors. i feel the cool yet warm air and think, "oh wow this is so pretty and wonderful! How lucky i am to be outdoors today!" it is like every year i forget how amazing it is to be alive in the fall. what a happy day it is when i finally do see the golden light :)

XOXO you have written some pretty amazing posts in the past month elizabeth.

My favorite thing about fall is the surprises and change. I appreciate the huge variety of colors and I love how the trees start dropping their leaves, making you see the delicate beauty in all the individual branches. I like noticing the layout of the land once the crops are harvested, how land I considered "flat" and "boring" is actually full of small rolling hills. I enjoy the cool mornings and nights but semi-warm days. I love the coziness of it all. :)

Crunchy frost cover leaves under foot on an early morning walk. The way the sun shines it warm afternoon glow in the cool air are just 2 of the things I love about fall.

Your cards rock!

Oooh so fun... one of my very favorite things about fall is the smell in the woods at this time of year. Last week Ellie and I were taking a walk with a friend and I just kept breathing deeply and sighing... the smell is just wonderful!

p.s. I'm a fan of snail mail too. I buy stamps all the time! Even if I don't win your drawing, I'd be happy to do a card exchange with you... I'll send you three of mine and you send me three of yours!!! Wouldn't that be fun?

My favorite fallish things are: the crisp morning air, the smell of damp leaves and woodsmoke as fireplaces are lit, the bright colors, and the welcome change in temperatures.

yesterday morning there was frost on the car. as i was scraping the windshield, there was a lovely yellow reflection of the leaves above--the sun was peeking over the rooftop, just setting the leaves aglow. it was so beautiful to scrape away the white frost and see this warm image in the window!

and pink lady apples. they are so sweet and tart. when i was expecting Theo i ate A LOT of them, so eating them is a sweet memory of that change from hot bride to, ahem, hot momma :)

your cards are absolutely lovely, but i've received so many fab gifts from giveaways, that i feel i shouldn't enter. just wanted to share my fave fall story.
and tell you the heart in the leaves is one of my fave fall Elizabeth photos!

Apple desserts. The stunning colors. The joy the kids get from piles of leaves...

so many things i love! hmmmmm......
outside of the gorgeous leaves changing colors, cooler temps, being able to wear a sweatshirt.....i may have to say football season!!!! : )

The smell. The colors. No bugs! (Or not the buzzy, biting kind anyhow.) It's a wonderful time of the year, isn't it?

What a clever idea!!
The smell of burning leaves has to be my favorite thing about this season.

pumpkin!
pumpkin everything:
*pumpkins
*pumpkin pie
*pumpkin soup
*pumpkin bread
*pumpkin scented candles
*the color pumpkin...

Apple picking, the smell of Apple Crisp baking in the oven, pumpkins that are transformed into jack-o-lanterns and the smell of fallen leaves! Your cards are so pretty!

my favorite is... apples... and pumpkins... and colors...

♥ pumpkin pie and homemade whipped cream
♥ fall color - just the different colors in my own backyard is amazing, add to that everyone elses - awesome!
♥ fall light - it's just different somehow.
♥ Thanksgiving - it's usually the first time both sons are home at the same time since Christmas.

My favorite thing has to be the sky. It gets kind of dull here during the summer. Maybe that's the heat and humidity. I really don't know why that is. (When I lived in Atlanta, it was the hideous ochre-colored smog that built up on hot days, too.)

But now that it's cooling off again, we have that perfect, bright, clear blue dome back, the one where you can look straight up into it and feel your connection with all that is, even as you feel untethered from the earth, as if you are floating up into endlessness.

Just so happens it's a perfect backdrop for orange and bronze and golden and scarlet leaves, too :)

fall is my very favorite season of the year and sadly i live in phoenix arizona where we don't celebrate fall. (ok, we probably celebrate it, but in 100 degree weather...?) fall has always reminded me of being home in utah and seeing the gorgeous mountain that i was raised on, turning brilliant, burning shades of autumn. gratefully i got to experience fall last week in oregon...with you! now i have 2 wonderful places in my heart to go to when i think of fall!

i love the photos, of your photos!

i love apple and cinnamon fruit crisp!

i love the trees!

I love the changing colors- getting back to a schedule--and the cool crisp air!

So much to love! In Japan, I especially love persimmons in the fall.

My favorite thing about fall is the beautiful colors that surround me. Bright yellow's, red's and orange's. It is a feast for the eyes and my camera.

I am so happy you like snail mail...me too!! The best thing about fall in TEXAS is no more summer!! turning off the air conditioning and opening the windows is such a relief after the heat...

I love the fall colors...they are truly breath taking! And someone mentioned pumpkin...wish I'd thought of that first...I LOVE pumpkin...pumpkin pie, cake, lattes, cookies, soup...anything pumpkin...yum!

PS What lens are you shooting with again? Your photos are AMAZING! As are you :)

had to enter this one...a chance for E-cards!
i love hot chocolate after a fall walk
