{my attempt to capture 52 photos that represent joy - my word for 2010}
there is just something about color. particularly the colors present in the sky at night. i can't explain it, but it grabs me.
pure joy.
{p.s. i was hoping to capture a photo of the monarch butterflies on their winter migration, but apparently there weren't many this particular year and a recent series of storms had blown them away. a photo for another trip, perhaps.}

Beautiful colors!
I just watched a documentary on monarch migration- very interesting and impressive. I'd love to see the area that they migrate to in Mexico sometime.

@julie: me too. you can also see them in certain spots along the california coast (which is where i was); however, the numbers are not as great.
