do you remember those animation things where you'd flip through the pages quickly and it would look like the figure was moving? pretend this is one of them.
atlas was given a new toy as a present - a bright green snake. first, he pulled out its tongues. then, he proceeded to pull out its insides. when he was done, the carpet was full of green. it was so bright and colorful.
i took about 100 photos (really). you would think that one of them would be in focus. sadly, you would be wrong.
it occurred to me that the out-of-focus-ness of this photo from monterey is quite appropriate given that, after a while, i remember a vacation as if it was only a long-ago dream.

people, she's at it again. sticking that camera thing in my face. i knew i was in for it when i heard her muttering about not having enough photos of me to choose from for my birthday post. sheesh. not enough photos. i follow her around like a shadow, for pete's sake. why does she need to look at photos. help a puppy out, won't you?

i know. it's not my work. and it's not a photo. but i cannot help sharing it anyway. because it's monday. and because it makes me smile.
