love this.
i once did a mandala exercise and one of the images that came through so clear was a lock... big and sturdy gold lock. i was stuck on it being this big blockage... like i was locking people out. then one of the other participants pointed out that locks can keep you safe, protect and create boundaries, and give you some choice and control about who/what gets in/out.
it really stuck with me. thanks for the reminder.

The rivers are overflowing here, so I was really thinking dam locks and water. It was a fun surprise to find your images!
I love, LOVE what Michelle M wrote about keeping safe, boundaries, and choice! And that reminds me that we aren't always "right" about our self interpretations. This is why we need each other as we go.
Happy sighs :)

@gloria: out for me too. :) thanks for visiting!
@chrissy, @kolleen: no worries, my dears. i was just noticing how people responded to the health care bill when they disagreed with it. you are both such sweethearts (and i cannot picture you being mean at all). love you both! xoxo
@se'lah: me too. especially since these gates looked pretty hard to open. ;)
@claire: i do love rust. it's such a nice red color.
@jen t: so true, especially since i think we tend to self-interpret things badly when they are rarely so.
@michelle: that is the first thing that would pop into my head. thank you for sharing the second interpretation! that is such a useful idea, and i can remember things better in a picture. (now i'm remembering your key thing from the retreat :)
