THat is so admirable that you are changing careers into something so meaningful. Go you! And I know what you mean about pictures everywhere. Love the one here.

Seeing and finding photographs everywhere is hardly 'doing nothing'. And - what is this new exciting job (working for yourself) that you are beginning??

i love it!
like your brain is clear and free to see the world around you with a new light :)

i'm liking those, what i think may be, stairs.

i love you elizabeth.
you are a wonder to me.
so happy that you are making changes for yourself.
i try to ALWAYS keep my camera nearby, but sometimes, it.s just far enough away to MISS a really good photo.
it is in those times that i wonder if it.s not "just ok" to keep that memory in my mind all for myself!
huge career changing hugs.

Elizabeth, I can relate to so much of what you've said here! I've officially been doing "nothing" for one year tomorrow. I am busier than ever and my photo-cup runneth over. Yet I struggle, when people ask me what I'm doing, to state it in a way that feels "normal". I feel it's been a year of huge growth for me, but not everyone gets that. I LOVE that you are taking this time off. I know you will remember fondly - seriously, for your whole life! You go girl!!

What a great reminder of the fact that time off is a necessary part of the creative process. I'm glad that you've felt your creative well filling up this month! I always enjoy seeing the fruits of your creativity.

Awesome! And what a good reminder to take a step back - or no step at all - and breathe it all in.

I just have to give you a standing ovation, E, for following your heart and making such a huge life change, having the confidence in yourself to take that leap - I don't know if I'd be able to do it. I think I'm a coward by nature. =) Enjoy your down time before you rev up for the next phase of your life. Yay!

You find the beauty in everyday things that most of us either overlook or are too busy to notice. I love that about you!
