yin and yang. that's what i see when i look at this photo. i wonder if you can tell what it really is.
my water heater is leaking, and the water is escaping through the ceiling fan/light in the dining room. this does not seem at all safe. also, atlas keeps trying to drink from the bowl that is catching said water. this also does not seem at all safe. i will be happy once it's replaced.
my month of vacation is over. onwards to my new work. on that note, my reiki practice is officially open for business. go me.
the beauty of not having a tv is that you can get a dvd of a particular tv show from the library and watch an entire season in one fell swoop - no commercials or waiting a week in between episodes - which is what i just did with season 2 of the big bang theory. i do so love sheldon.
but enough about me. what's going on in your world today?

Hi, Elizabeth! Do hope all goes well getting your water heater fixed--what a bugger. And that all goes well with back to work. I'm sorry you've put down reiki for now, but I hope there will be great things just around the corner for you. :o) Hubby & I seldom watch TV, we could easily get rid of the box. But we do love a DVD/films on weekends. Today I am glad that laundry, ironing and lots of little chores are caught up on now we're back from vacation--back to real life... LOL! Happy Day ((HUGS))

no more vacation! wow, that went by quick, hey? sounds like you could just get rid of the bowl and atlas could stand under the leak and catch the water;)

Yay for being officially open for business!
So sorry you have to deal with a leaking water heater. I hope you can have it replaced soon.
I think I can tell what is on the picture: the reflection of trees and the sky on the surface of a body of water. I like the ripples as waves from darkness to light.
In my world today: rain, much needed rain. I hope it will have helped with the forest fires raging in the province.

is it a mud puddle? lol i love the shot. it's quite peaceful.
i'm with you on the no tv thing... i watch tv shows through netflix and love that i don't have to wait a week between shows.
we are hooked on xena warrior princess (i know i know, we are weird, but i've always loved that show... there must be some warrior princess in me...) and the show bones. loving that one.

Wow - can't believe that month is up already, but I know you're eager to get started on your next chapter. Can't wait to hear how it's going! I hope your leak is repaired and, oh yes, Sheldon is a kick! He and Brick from In the Middle (who is about 7 years old) are the most character-y (I'm sure that's not a word)characters and I love them both!

I just realized this blog always feels like home. I always feel so relaxed here. Your sessions made me feel the same way. I'm so excited for you.

Your leaking heater does not sound good at all. I hope you can get it fixed quickly.
I hope you new reiki business is very prosperous for you.

@liss: happily, it was replaced yesterday! now i just need to wait for the carpet to dry. :)
@kelly: that makes me so happy to hear - thank you.
@patty: it did go fast! now you've got me curious about this brick character - off to google. :)
@mindy: yup, it was a mud puddle. and you're totally not weird, or i'm weird too, because i'd watch that. ;)
@josiane: exactly!!! there is also a leaf, but it's hard to see in b&w. i hope the rain helped with the fires.
@helen. hey now! i yelled at poor atlas twice because he was drinking from the bowl. i think i scared him out of drinking altogether. poor dear pup. but it was yellow and did not look very drinkable.
@tracy: i'm glad you're caught up on post-vacation chore stuff! it's nice to have that out of the way and really enjoy being home again.
