{my attempt to capture 52 photos that represent joy - my word for 2010}
ripe, fresh peaches topped with a marscapone custard make a dessert (or breakfast) with the most delicious flavor. i found the recipe in under the tuscan sun (my essential summer read) and had to try it.
and as it turns out, making yourself something that feels slightly decadent makes an ordinary day (and you) feel extra-special.
pure joy.

A big YES! to "making yourself something that feels slightly decadent makes an ordinary day (and you) feel extra-special"! Pure joy indeed. :)

We were just talking about how finally the peaches and nectarines are juicy and full of flavor - not so earlier in the season. I'm going to pull out some of my old recipes. Now is the time!! You have captured all their fuzzy peach-i-ness!!

Yum. That sounds delicious, Elizabeth, and so self-nurturing. Like you've given yourself permission to be fabulous and worth the small extravagances. (I heartily approve. You are worth it!)
Loving the beautiful simplicity of the shot...
