awwww, cute photo. i miss atlas:( (oh, and you too, of course) and he would prefer less of the squeezing/kising when he's trying to sleep;)

Love. (sniffle.) So sweet.

I don't get that growing old part, either, Elizabeth. It is so hard with the four-legged ones we love, whose life cycles move differently than our own, even as they entwine with ours so tightly.

Atlas just *looks* loved in this shot. :)

Love, love, love... I wonder about these things too. I try to just remember that we have only now and drink it all in! Atlas looks mighty content here...*sigh*... Happy Day, Elizabeth ((HUGS))

OH. MY. GOODNESS. I love love love this photo and your connection to your poochie. Miss you! ♥ Will I see you in November???

so, so sweet.

xo Alison

Yesterday I came up with a theory called the dog triangle. You can have super-fuzzy, you can have snuggly, or you can have smart. Pick any two.

Our dogs do not disprove this. My dog Harley is super-fuzzy and snuggly, but he's not very smart.
Piper, Alan's dog, is super-fuzzy and smart, but not very snuggly.

But now Atlas here appears to possess all 3 of these qualities.
He's like some kind of super dog.

I think with this photo he has just disproved my dog triangle theory.

Sweet dreams, Atlas!

@helen: no! he likes me to bug him in every single moment! ;-)

@leanne: *sniffle*

@meredith, @tracy: i don't love to think about it either. but it really is a good lesson for me to enjoy the moments. all we can do is practice, i guess.

@tricia: you will!!!

@alison: i agree. xoxo

@kelly: i like your theory. i think it still works. atlas fur is not always fuzzy .. especially in summer when it is dry .. and he is not always snuggly (only in the early mornings or evenings). so i think your theory still holds.

@kelly: love the theory, will now attempt to apply it to 12 dogs in my life...

Atlas is a superdog, he's yours. And he is well-loved.
