how do you know the carcass was squishy?
an A&W! have not been to one since middle school i believe. fun

Sounds like a very good time! Oh, except for Atlas wondering off. I love these images!

a & w, my only fast food restaurant. about twice a year, a mama burger. the day i got my drivers license at sixteen i went directly there. scratched my mom's car pulling into one of the spots. it was back in the day when a server hooked your tray of food on your car window.

@margie: they had trays for your car window here! i was so fired up. except they must have heard me wrong so brought out my order in a bag to-go instead of a tray so i missed out.

@gayle: it was definitely fun. thanks!

@ann: stepping on things is very good for discovering whether they are squishy or not. ;)

What a stunning visual map of varying landscapes within a region. I miss the Northwest.

these photographs are beautiful!

i miss the northwest, and oregon's central coast, even though i haven't yet been there. after your most recent photos, i am wondering why this is so.

and the 'items of note' also make me think westerly thoughts.

eew to the squishy! but everything else sounds lovely:) and i don't think i have ever seen a real live starfish out in nature.

i believe i would rather have sand in my shoes than yucky dead sea lion carcuss...ick!
glad atlas came back.
