I think it is interesting the way a dog will curl up his lip. It is like he is trying to smile.

@jerry: i think in atlas' case, it gets caught. i was told his mother smiled in a very distinct manner; she pulled her lips back all the way and it looked rather not like a smile. ;) i always wished atlas would do it.

@helen: i think it works best if you have a very large wet nose that is headed directly for the lens. ;)
@margie: oh, how sweet. (well, except for the aching part.)
