we spent a day in provincetown, the town on the very tip of cape cod. (i was really hoping to run into mary oliver there but alas, i did not see her.)
i do love p-town. i knew i would. it's full of art and the smell of the sea.
in one art gallery, i could not stop staring at a photograph that i found so amazing, it moved me to tears. i so wanted to bring it home with me. (alas again, i talked myself out of buying it. and of course, i forgot to write down the photographer's name for future reference.) i wish i could describe it for you but i cannot begin to do it justice.
i want to go back sometime in the off-season. it seems like the perfect place to retreat and write.

Sooo lovely... I've always wanted to go to Provincetown--and especially with hope of bumping into Mary Oliver! :o) LOVE the doggie bakery & cafe... very fun! Pity about the photography that captured you. Would have been great to see if you had a link to the artist. Happy Weekend, Elizabeth ((HUGS))

Elizabeth, you were in my old neck of the woods. I grew up on Nantucket. Funny story, we used to play babsketball in high school vs P-Town( as we referred to them) and we would fly to Hyannis, then take a school bus to Provincetown. You know how long a drive. To say the least, we were exhausted by the time we arrived. Dont think we had many wins. lol. I have never been there to visit. Martha's vineyard either. Just back in the day, when I was a Nantucket Whaler( our teams name). I would HIGHLY recommend the Cape & Islands off season. It's amazing. xo Sandy
