Like you, Elizabeth, I think of every day as thanks-giving. But I do like this extra day to express that thankfulness and gratitude. I like how you celebrate...mmm...nachos in stead of cooking--brilliant choice! I am thankful for your friendship. :o) Wishing you, Atlas and all of yours a happy & blessed Thanksgiving ((HUGS))

I love hearing about the ways that people personalize holidays to meet their own needs. I hope you and Atlas have a lovely day!

And I really love this picture. A lot. Thanks!

my zekey and i always took a special walk on the holidays. the only thing that really made it special was i told him what holiday it was!
our walks were special everyday. i so miss him.
people think it's terrible to be "alone" on any holiday. it's not! sometimes you can be alone in a crowd, as they say.
i always have a pot of beans and cornbread and put up my christmas tree!
love,
tammy j

The meal has been eaten.
The kitchen is clean.
The leftovers are stashed.
The walk has been taken.
Everyone is happy and fed and blessed.
Now I have the time to stop by.
On this Thanksgiving Day, I wanted to tell you that I am thankful for you; for this blog; for our friendship. Sending you much love, Relyn

I am thankful for nachos. Whenever I find myself alone for an evening and happen to have both tortilla chips and cheese in the house (rare), that's what I make. Cheers to melty cheese!

Love the quote. So true. Hope your day was warm and wonderful - in whichever way you chose to celebrate.

@marcie: it was indeed. i hope your day was the same.

@kylie: i agree! cheers to melty cheese + tortilla chips!

@relyn: thank you! i hope your family had a wonderful thanksgiving. i so loved reading your family's gratitude list.

@tammy: you can indeed be alone in a crowd. your holiday tradition with zeke made me smile. sending love to you and to his memory.

@steph: i'm glad you like it!

@tracy: i like having the day, i just don't ever know what to say. ;) i hope you felt close in spirit to family and friends from afar on thursday. i can imagine how hard it is to be far away sometimes.

Oh my that quote is perfect! I must scribble it down immediately for I feel that way quite often.

thanksgiving nachos sound awesome. life just would not be the same without nachos.

I am thankful for you and atlas - you both light up this world so beautifully.
