it's time for a giveaway

(apparently atlas is getting ready to help.)

doesn't it feel like it's time for a giveaway? i can't remember when i did my last one, and it occurred to me that i am horribly negligent at celebrating any of my blogging milestones (for example: my blog turned one last july, my blog turned two this july, i wrote my 500th blog post over 100 blog posts ago, et cetera).

yes. it's definitely time for a giveaway.

if you want to enter, leave me a comment. i'll draw two or three names on friday evening and send each of the winners a set of postcards. i am so fond of postcards. they are such a lovely - and easy - way to let someone know you're thinking about them.

the nose knows

anyone want an atlas mousepad? i no longer need one and it's such a cute nose (and a relatively new mousepad) that it seems a shame not to find it a new perfect home. if you're interested, leave me a note in the comments. if more than one person is interested, i'll draw a name at random.

speaking of random, here's a random question for you. i rarely edit my photos before posting; the only thing i do is shrink them significantly. i used photoshop to do so, but it's an eight-year-old version and i am not installing it on this computer. is there some sort of free program that shrinks photos? i just need something for a week or two or three, until i can get to the store to buy lightroom or photoshop.

i love cards

guess what? i found photos for {the scent of suddenly september} and {dance of the dying}. yay! they are definitely my favorite card sets. (i know. i say that about all of them.)

it's a giveaway!

on monday, i went and picked up 5x7 prints of some of my favorite photos. afterwards, i walked around the neighborhood with my camera and pup (hence these photos).

i plan on adding the prints to my etsy shop later this month but i was so excited to see them that i thought i would do a giveaway in the meantime. yay!

i'm not sure what print i'll give away yet. it might be this one, or it might be another one. it'll be a fun surprise.

name your giveaway

next month, i am having a (virtual) party for my business, so i thought i'd create a few new sets of cards for my etsy shop at the same time. whee!

on that note, if you haven't figured it out by now, i love to pair things. often words and words (i am partial to using song lyrics as email subjects). more often, words and photos (like quotes and photos).

so, i'm hosting a card giveaway! since i'm planning on making cards anyway, i thought i'd let you make your own giveaway set. of sorts.

your entry into the giveaway will be a name (or a theme) for your card set.

i'll draw a name on wednesday evening, pair photos with the name to create a set of cards, and send the winner a set once the cards are made.
